The Transport and Mobilities Focus Area will focus on challenges such as assuring ethics, transparency, and privacy; addressing existing social inequalities; and understanding the linkages between shared, commercial and public systems of provision.
Automated transport and mobility services have the potential to transform how we live and move. They offer new opportunities to address entrenched inequalities of access to mobility, relating to disability, age, economic status and location.
However, to achieve these possibilities, the development of new technical capacities and data systems needs to be harnessed for the design of future transport and mobility services that fulfil the needs of people and social institutions.
Challenges include assuring ethics, transparency and privacy; addressing existing social inequalities; and understanding the linkages between shared, commercial and public systems of provision.

Examining common themes with respect to the issues raised by the collection, storage, and use of data for ADM across object domains.
Examining the ways in which automated decision-making (ADM) is being integrated into the lives of diverse and non-dominant communities across Australia.
