abstract = {""Have you ever considered how mobile media change what we see, hear and pay attention to in urban spaces, or how they alter our pedestrian movement through the city? Over the last decade, mobile media and communication technologies have become deeply integral to our perception and bodily experience of the world. In this original book, Ingrid Richardson and Rowan Wilken explore mobile media as a lens through which to understand how embodiment both shapes, and is shaped by, media experience. Bodies and Mobile Media offers a unique approach by focusing on specific sensory affordances and body parts - including the eyes, ears, face, hands and feet - to consider the uneven ratios of sensory perception at work in our engagement with mobile devices. Each chapter provides rich and accessible narratives of mobile media practices interwoven with current scholarship in media studies and phenomenology, with a concluding chapter that considers mobile media use holistically as a synaesthetic experience. The book thus serves as an important work of knowledge translation, by interpreting theoretical insights about the body-technology relation. This knowledge translation is crucial, the authors argue, if we are to critically understand how our perception and experience of the world is mediated by technology. This book will be of interest to students and scholars in Media, Communication and Cultural Studies.""–},

abstract = {This article introduces design anthropological foresighting. It does so through the example of automated futures and demonstrates how this approach can be applied to investigate, understand and reframe dominant assumptions about how people will live with emerging technologies and energy systems in possible futures. In doing so we: outline the theoretical and methodological principles of design anthropological foresighting, and the implications this has for understanding automated futures; exemplify our approach through a discussion of research into digital energy futures; and demonstrate our reframing practice. We propose that design anthropological foresighting adds new layers of empirical and analytical knowledge to foresighting practice and invite researchers to join us in developing it further.},

abstract = {Public health research has heralded social media as a space where sex education can be delivered to young people. However, sexual health organisations are increasingly concerned that restrictive content moderation practices impede their ability to distribute sex education content on social media platforms. To better understand these experiences, this article uses an autoethnographic case study of my experience navigating Meta's content moderation policies and practices when I promoted the Bits and Bods sex education web series. Using conjunctural analysis, I contextualise Bits and Bods's two experiences of content moderation (when our account was deleted from Instagram and advertising was rejected by Facebook) through policy analysis of Meta's content moderation policies. I then conclude by questioning whether public health practitioners should still be conceiving Meta's platforms as a space where they can deliver sex education to young people.},
